Anchor Digital builds a college program finder for A Better Chance

The client and the problem

A Better Chance, a national nonprofit, has spent more than sixty years placing talented young people of color at leading independent and boarding schools across the country.

Today, ABC shares the programs and partner opportunities it secures for its members through PDFs and spreadsheets, which are hard to search.

What we're building

So we're building a tool that lives on ABC's existing website: Find My College Discovery Program, a searchable directory where students and families can look up college fly-in and discovery programs by school, dates, and budget.

Opportunity only counts if the right student can find it. We're designing the tool around the people using it, so a student can arrive, see what's possible, and find their next step without hunting for it.

We're building it so ABC can keep adding programs as it secures them, and so it loads fast on whatever phone a student already has.

It fits into the site ABC already has, matching its look and voice, so it feels like a natural part of the organization behind it.

Why we took it on

We took this on because it's work worth doing. A Better Chance already changes lives, and we're making it easier for the next student to find their way in.
